I get to help her cook again at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur when Explosions in the Sky play and more…I AM STOKED. Thee oh sees made me go wild and the after party with the motown cover band made me dance my ass off.

i’ve progressed into my dementia since i recognized my cognitive (they say decline but its more like cognitive expansion!) expansion. I have been playing music at work for my old people friends and they are a very easy audience (they are out of their minds…literally, but in a way that I can’t wait to be old like them) . it makes it easier to play in front of people haha. its a great time to practice…me and Nic like to do covers of old songs (okay Disney songs) and we love it. i need sean to give me a tambourine. ANYWAYS this new year has been pretty dope i must say…i am currently sitting in my new room on hayes and diviz listening to Lars records since she was too kind to lend me it. I could sit in this room all day. Just being in this new place feels more stimulating in all the right ways. I am happy. weird! New years eve was spent doing something I really enjoy, which is cooking it all up with Larishka. The meal was epic: rosemary garlic mashed red potatoes, garlic avocado dressed salad, portobellos roasted with homemade pesto sauce, and herb breaded salmon topped with shaved asiago & some french martinis (vodka, raspberry liquor, pineapple juice, and lime) … we discussed future plans to start a cooking business together after we’ve traveled and experienced what life has to offer. I am excited about this plan! I feel like January will be so wonderful… listening to records, painting, watching movies, taking walks, cooking it up, slumber parties, pictures, weed, i want youuuuuu

I am proud of my best friend Larissa! She was randomly asked to be a part of this collective based in NYC… once it launched we realized how great the other artists were on the site. We have no clue how they found her but she was the only one from SF and they told her that after the first day the site got 10,000 hits from around the world! There are 23 other “up and coming” artists that you should all take a look at all of them…

![SO, this event will be epic! I encourage you to check out my friends play at this haunted venue in the Santa Cruz Mountains… I already got a hotel room with a balcony for a before and after shin digg ;]
Other than that, I haven’t blogged in a while but I’d like to share the fact that today at work I met a 99 year old virgin/atheist. Within the last ten minutes of my shift she proceeded to walk me through her old lady habits in full detail… my job is awesome? yes! The two things I am skilled at in this life: dissecting cadavers and caring for the demented elderly… TWISTED](http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ld7bhpUU1N1qbj6m6o1_400.jpg)

FUCK YEAH FEST
downs: two hour water line for one fountain in the whole park… ridiculous, miserably hot, long azz lines, didn’t see too many bands up close.
uppp side: I asked the right person if they had an extra ticket and got to bypass the line going inside, asked the cargo boys for some cold water and got summmm fo freee, and SLEEP was the sickest shieeet ever and I am not a huge metal fan at all. Sleep made my night so I am pretty happy with the experience.

OH SUMMER I LIKE YOU! These are a few photos from my summer activities which have been venturing into the city and acting like a tourist/trying new food, drum lessons from Sean/Lars/& Greg, more oil painting of weird creatures on old figure paintings, annnd although it has not been sunny AT ALL we have been utilizing our makeshift fire pit in our backyard by bbqing and making smores. isn’t this what summer is all about? i think so. I am so happy to have all this time to do creative things. I have even tapped into my subconscious by starting a dream journal. I have been drawing at work and I am doing a bunch of random stuff on half pieces of paper and putting them together on my wall in my room…so far i like it! the painting series is only getting weirder and I have been given positive feedback and encouragement to keep going with it haha. i really wanted to learn either the guitar or drums this summer and it seems that the drums is what is calling my name. I am stoked on them and when I went to guitar center yesterday with my roomies i hit ever set of drums and some little girl was showing me up and i got kind of jealous of her because she was probably there to buy her own set! anyways all this crafting and creative out letting is making me oh so warm inside, there’s something more fulfilling about these activities than any love i’ve had in my life.

Thee one and onlyy Larissa K. Grant taught me how to oil paint! We didn’t have any blank canvases on this day but instead she let me paint over her old figure paintings. Initially she meant that I should paint over them, but instead I decided to incorporate them into my paintings! This is very funny to me, but has an element that I appreciate because it was not intended to turn out like these did. It is like a dream, something strange incepted the idea, and that something is a part of me that I did not know until now.

So last week was so so busy! I went to 4 shows! Thank you summer for that.
Tuesday-Glitter Wizard at Kimos; this show was quite fun. I went with Brianna and we got a bit wild with whiskey. The other bands that played with GWiz were alright, but it is always fun to see my roommates play. They are both so theatrical and have so much ADD energy that they let out on stage. It is a funny dynamic to live with them and then see them in their element.
Wednesday- Glitter Wizard in Santa Cruz; this show was interesting. Me and Larissa drove down with the band, which was a funny car ride. We did not know anyone at the show and it felt interesting to be in a different city. There was something awkward about it but calming at the same time. We got some yummy pizza before and got in to their show for free (i love when that happens). After the show I was exhausted so me Lars and her friend Bri from Santa Cruz snuggled in the back seat.
Thursday- WEEKEND & TY; SO AWESOME. I moshed for my first time during WEEKEND if you can believe it. My friend is the drummer of WEEKEND which made it that more exciting to go see them play. What was even more awesome was that one of the opening acts was my friend TY. He played his one man band set which I never got to see in the past so that was very enjoyable. I went to this show was Nicolette, and we had oh so much fun together. I posted a link to WEEKENDS myspace so you should all listen to their stuff, I highly reccomend!
Saturday- MOCCRETRO, HEAVY HILLS, BARE WIRES, FAMILY MATTERS; this show had amazing energy! This was my roommates band (moccretro) big show that he had been stoked on for a while. He got some great bands to play and all of the friends came out to the Hemlock to support them. This was by far the best show I have seen them play! It was so great to be there for that and everyone felt the same way. I was there with all my roommates, whom I love so much! After the show we went home and me Lars and Sean laughed so hard we cried…It had been a while for all of us since we had done that haha. By far the best night of the week!

I saw beautiful things. 3 dots that made a face, i talked to plants, i called my family, i peaked at a bookstore, a book talked to me, i bought the book and overdrafted, i got tahitian coconut ice cream and overdrafted again, i listened to a violinist on the corner while i stared at the street, i went back to where it all began and watched the fog come in an orange haze, i went home and listened to Weekend and cuddled with my kitty.
